Mission

The 3 Key elements of the Mission statement
God’s abiding presence IN the church
“To the consecrated worker there is wonderful consolation in the knowledge that even Christ during His life on earth sought His Father daily for fresh supplies of needed grace; and from this communion with God He went forth to strengthen and bless others. Behold the Son of God bowed in prayer to His Father! Though He is the Son of God, He strengthens His faith by prayer, and by communion with heaven gathers to Himself power to resist evil and to minister to the needs of men. As the Elder Brother of our race He knows the necessities of those who, compassed with infirmity and living in a world of sin and temptation, still desire to serve Him. He knows that the messengers whom He sees fit to send are weak, erring men; but to all who give themselves wholly to His service He promises divine aid. His own example is an assurance that earnest, persevering supplication to God in faith—faith that leads to entire dependence upon God, and unreserved consecration to His work—will avail to bring to men the Holy Spirit's aid in the battle against sin. Every worker who follows the example of Christ will be prepared to receive and use the power that God has promised to His church for the ripening of earth's harvest. Morning by morning, as the heralds of the gospel kneel before the Lord and renew their vows of consecration to Him, He will grant them the presence of His Spirit, with its reviving, sanctifying power. As they go forth to the day's duties, they have the assurance that the unseen agency of the Holy Spirit enables them to be “laborers together with God.” [EGW – AA p.56]

Where Christ’s love AND our love for each other is on full display
“The love of Christ must be an abiding principle in the heart that will bear fruit in love and tenderness and respect for one another. The love of the truth, the doing of the words of Christ would soften and subdue our hearts. The purity and goodness and love of the great heart of Jesus must be reflected upon our hearts and revealed in our characters that we may be partakers of the divine nature and have tender compassion for each other.” [5LtMs, Ms 21, 1888, par. 1]

Where EVERYONE can find purpose and community in the faith
24 Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. [Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT]
“Thus Paul put into words his desire for the believers. How high the ideal that these words hold before the follower of Christ! They show the wonderful possibilities of the Christian life and make it plain that there is no limit to the blessings that the children of God may receive. Constantly increasing in a knowledge of God, they may go on from strength to strength, from height to height in Christian experience, until by “His glorious power” they are made “meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” [AA p. 471]

Vision
Vision Tangibles
Evangelism is always the primary responsibility of any mission-driven church, four areas of special evangelistic attention for the current term are:
- A thriving ministry for our children.
- Inspirational and transformational music ministry.
- Intentional use of our Media ministry that is engaging and interactive.
- Creating effective outreach ministries in the immediate area as a means to increase soul-winning efforts by our membership (i.e. street ministries, refugee ministries, etc.).
